But instead of losing her job (her dad owns the team), she’s sent to the middle of nowhere in North Carolina.

Now, picture this: a bunch of 9-year-olds wearing tutus to soccer practice, and goats hanging around the field. This is the unique team that Adalyn is supposed to turn into winners.

Don’t worry, though. She’s got a legendary soccer player, Cameron Caldani, to assist her. But their first meeting doesn’t go well, and he doesn’t want her around.

The question is, can Adalyn change this oddball team’s fortunes? And can she get along with Cameron long enough to make it happen?

If you like soccer and you’re up for a story of unexpected challenges, quirky characters, and a shot at redemption, then “The Long Game” is a must-read for you.

The Fraud by Zadie Smith

The Fraud by Zadie Smith

The Fraud by Zadie Smith is going to be released on the 5th of September, 2023. It will be about 464 pages long, and we are very excited about a new book from one of our favorite authors, Zadie Smith. You may know her from her popular book, White Teeth.

This book is a historical fiction novel that is based on the real historical events in 1873 in Britain and Jamaica.

The Fraud follows a few characters. One is Mrs. Eliza Touchet, a Scottish housekeeper and the cousin of a once famous writer, William Ainsworth. She has lived with him for thirty years and has watched his career dwindle by the day.

Eliza is interested in many things including literature, justice, abolitionism, class, and above all her cousin and his life. During all these years she has thought of her cousin as having no talent, and his friend, Charles Dickens, of being a mean bully. She also has her negative thoughts about England.

Another character in the book is Andrew Bogle. He lives a completely different life because he grew up as a slave on a sugar plantation in Jamaica. When he is sent to London to be a witness in a court case of imposter he has to make sure he tells his story like his future depends on it… because it does.

This is the Tichborne Trial, a trial in which a low class butcher claimed that he was the rightful heir of an estate in London, which draws the attention of Eliza.

Many people, including Eliza, are wondering if Roger Tichborne is really who he says he is. Eliza and Andrew know all too well people can be deceiving.
